Size Comparison next to a regular can of soda |
Articulation
Arms and Legs can bend up to 90 degrees, be careful bending both because some parts specially the smaller ones can easily break. You can also turn the arms all the way to 360 degrees, you just need to properly adjust the backpack or just remove it to do so.
Waist can only move half way 45 degrees (left and right) because the skirt armor is blocking its movement, and can also tilt from left to right because of its advance ms joint.
Head can turn 360 degrees without it's Vulcan pod. With Vulcan pod it can only turn half way 45 degrees. The part near the shoulder blocks its movement.
Leg Articulation |

In terms of armaments, it has 2 Beam Sabers, a Shield, a Hyper Bazooka, a Beam Rifle, a Vulcan pod, 4 Beam Rifle Ammo Packs and 2 Bazooka Ammo Packs
6 Manipulators |
This kit has lots of manipulators as you can see, Bandai provide us with 6 manipulators ( 2 highly articulated hands, 2 close fists, 1 trigger finger, 1 open hand)
Test Craft Armor Parts |
and also the kit has additional armor pieces for the test craft version of the Gundam Mk-II
Pose-ability
Hyper Bazooka Mode |
I'm out!? |
I enjoy playing with so many poses with this kit. Ridiculous articulation for a 1:144 scale kit
Seals and Stickers
Used up Seals and Manual |
Also this kit have an easier seals and sticker application instruction guide, it's much more easier to understand than the previous ones in applying seals and its color coded, hope they use the same for their newer MG kits
The Build
I had so much fun building this kit, there's nothing repetitive ( mind you this is my 1st rg ) the advance ms joint is just way to awesome and its easy to build. it took me atleast 3 sitting ( around 3-5 hrs/sitting) including seals application, panel lines and top coat...all i can say is ITS FUN TO BUILD REAL GRADE KITS
and now the Cons...
Sad to say this kit also has it bad side. though its highly articulated for its size, it's easy to break some parts specially the articulated hands, you have to be very careful in moving the fingers. Another thing i've notice was its shoulder armor, it wobbles alot and it looks a little awkward because of a small gap between the body and the shoulders.
little gap |
This kit is also prone to falling parts, i was referring to its thrusters...it falls every time you touch it, you just have to place it in one position for it to hold, you cant play with it that much, so be careful you can easily lose this.
Final Thoughts...
Is it good value for money?..yes for just 2,500 yen its totally worthed specially if you're a Gundam Mk-II fan
Does it capture the power of the anime?...yes it does, you can literally do the same poses you see in the anime. and the color scheme is remarkable, Bandai provide so many shades of blue for this kit and such details even on parts you cant even see.
Lower Body Advance MS Joint |
Would you recommend this kit?...Yes, regardless of its few cons. you can just over look those with its overall awesomeness.
note: the kit was panel lined and top coated except for the very 1st photo at the top (OBB - Out of the Box Build) and no other paints are applied

Thank you for this wonderful review! It's a good thing that you point out some parts that needs extra caution in handling since the manuals are all written in Japanese. Please do more reviews to other RGs. Arigatou~ (^-^)V
