Reviews - MG 1/100 Gundam Heavy Arms Endless Waltz Version Review

Say Hello to my Armaments Impaired Friend...

Original Released : January 2012
Released Price : 3,800 Yen (around $48 or 2,000 Php)

Out of the Box Build

Box Art

Size Comparison next to a regular can of soda

Articulation

the very limited arm movement

Both arms can bend to 90º and turn all the way 360º, just be careful you might scratch both shoulders and backpack. Legs can bend to 90º and lift up to 90º. The feet can also bend to almost 90º for flight pose or if you just want it to tip toe ehehe.

Head can turn 360*

Head can turn all the way 360º but its a little tricky because of its goatee, ears and v-fin, and again you just have to be careful in doing it. It can also tilt from left to right

For waist articulation, in can turn only half way to 45º and yes, because of its skirt armor nothing new. The kit can also tilt from left to right because of its double joint.

Armaments and Accessories

As I've said awhile ago this guy is armaments impaired because it only has 2, the Gatling gun and 1 combat knife and thats it........nah!!! I was just kidding, this guys is amazing in terms of armaments almost all parts of its body has weapons in it.
head and shoulder vulcans

The Missile Pods

do you still think I'm approachable?
Vulcan guns on both shoulders and temple. Missile pods that grows like mushroom, its everywhere. 3 on each shoulders, 2 on from shirts, 1 on each side skirt and 2 on each leg. And if thats not enough, just open its chest and there are 2 gatling guns. BTW this kit also has a beam saber hilt, to remake the famous Heero Yuy vs Zechs Merquise at the Arctic base.

Pose-ability

my big ol' gun

who needs a beam saber if you have a combat knife

what's this?!

this doesn't feel right...

who gave me that freakin beam saber!?

damn you beam saber!!!

Though its articulation are good for some parts, arm movement was a bit limited (for me). All its parts can hold up their position that you put them to. I can play with this kit so much, having so many cool poses and some weird looking ones. I first thought that the huge gatling gun will give weight issues to its left hand. But no, the kit can handle it quite nicely, i just don't know if it will still hold properly in the future.

Seals and Stickers
used up seals, foil stickers and construction manual

Pretty much you're going to get a standard set of foil stickers, clear seals and dry transfer decals. And the seals manual is still a bit painful. For us who can't read Kanji (Japanese letters/symbols).

The Build

This kit is by far my most enjoyable build, yet. nothings repetitive. specially when putting up its armament, oh good Lord the armaments...there's a ton of them and its really fun building and setting it up. I just love BIG GUNS and everything in between ^_^

and now the Cons...

the back side

One thing is notice on this kit, was the hole where you insert the peg from the shoulder. Regardless of how you insert them they tend to stress out. I've check out all my mg kits, specially the wing ew series ones and that part never stress out.
the stress out plastic part T_T

To all who love GunPla, this is something you don't wanna see to any part of your kit. I just hope it wont break T_T

Final Thoughts

BEAM SABER MY ASS!!!

The kit was so fun to build and I'm not kidding, specially if you're a Wing series fan. Just from the box art itself you'll know this will be an awesome kit.

Is it good value for money?...ABSOLUTELY YES, totally worth every penny. The amount of things you can do on this kit is just great specially if you love taking pictures of your kits, this would be a very good subject. No doubt that you'll find both the build and the end results are just AWESOME.

Does it capture the power of the anime?...Definitely Yes, regardless of its new design it still capture the essence of the Gundam Heavyarms in the anime. Also Bandai includes the kit with an ammo pack, now the kit will be more realistic that you can see where the ammo of the gatling gun really came from. If you're not a Wing series fan, this kit will be a good addition to your collection regardless.

note: The kit was panel lined and top coated except for the very 1st photo at the top (OBB - Out of the Box Build) and no other paints are applied.

I know this is 5 years (almost) too late, but how's your shoulder joint connection? did it break? I have that in some kits as well, but I guess that's how just it is, so far mine haven't broke yet (not that I want them too), but probably just a little too small for the connection, could be solved by CAREFULLY sanding the joint a bit to thin it out a bit but not enough to make it loose.

Late reply for a late comment eheh. No it didnt break(thank god). I tried sanding it a bit before but it became a bit loose so i end up patching it with putty to fix it back up.

Thanks for reading my review ^_^
