Articulation

Both arms can bend to 90º and turn all the way 360º no problem. Legs can bend up to 90º and lift up to 90º. And the feet can also move about 45º for better poses specially for flight positions.

For waist articulation, for some reason this kit can turn up to 360º without anything blocking it. The kit can also tilt from left to right because its double jointed.

360º body twist

In terms of head articulation, it can turn all the way 360º just be little careful the fangs on the head may scratch the shoulders or worst the fangs will break (the only thing that differs it from wing zero's head☺).

360º head turn

Armaments and Accessories

This guy has 3 main weapons, the Beam Trident, the Dragon Fangs and the Shenlong Shield. It also has 2 vulcans on its head and 2 flamethrowers on the Dragon Fangs. In terms of extra accesories, it does not have that much. It only has 6 interchangeable hand attachment, part attachment for the action base 1 and a 1:100 scale of Chang Wufie (pilot).

One good thing, I meant the great thing about this kit was its Shenlong Shield and Dragon Fangs. Look at the details on the shield, Bandai really did a great job in this. One of the best shields I've ever build.

The Dragons Fangs looks awesome in every way for me atleast, Bandai also gives this thing so much detail and articulation, so we can play with so may poses. The upper jaw can lift up to 90º and the lower jaw can only do halfway to 90º.

As you can see on the photos below, the fins can flap from left to right (in/out) for more detailed poses.

And yes...the very troublesome SoB for me, the freaking, does not work properly when you move the fangs peg. What I did to fix this and gave a more suitable fit on the arm was I flat coat that part twice to make it a little thicker, Now it fits great and can move with an ease. You can also do this with either paint or scotch/masking tape or even glue, but I don't recommend the glue. My friend did it but it's stock there forever and that sucks for me.

Pose-ability

You can do tons of poses on this kit, you just need to be patient with it. I'm having trouble making this kit stand straight properly without falling, I don't know if it's just me or some problems on either legs or feet.

Because of its good articulation, its poseability are enormous, You just have to be creative and patient with it. Don't be afraid to put your kit to its limit, it's made by Bandai for crying out loud. Just be a little careful in doing so.

And the Dragon fangs are awesome, the top fangs has two joints for posing capabilities. Push it to its limit but don't break it .

RAWR!!!

 Seals and Stickers

used up seals, foil sticker and manual

Almost a standard set of seals, the only difference is it has a lot of extras that was not in the manual. So i suggest go nuts and make your own style ehehehe....BTW each set of clear stickers has 1 extra so if you lose one, it's okay.

The Build

The build was a bit...hmmm boring, for me atleast, maybe I just expect more from it. Well until you build the Shield and Dragon Fangs. The build was so simple, I felt like building an HG kit when making it's body parts. The only good thing about this kit, as I mention the are Shenlong Shield and Dragon Fangs. Details on both was great specially on the shield. OMG that shield was incredible, every piece of detail in it, was also a piece of plastic. I mean it has many parts for just its details. Even without paneling lining, it will still look great.

And now the Cons...

the back side

Let's begin...first on my list was the falling shirt armor parts. The blue freaking part always falls when you try to make a pose. And it doesn't have any good peg on it to make it fit properly on the inner frame. I just glue the thing right off and its okay, but i hate gluing or using cement on a snap fit kit. IT'S JUST PAINFUL FOR ME.

the painful skirt armor parts

Number two, I don't know if it's just me or the kit itself, but I'm having so much trouble making it stand still. When the legs are facing forward or even little sideward, it just racks or if it stands still it look a little awkward.

Third Problem, well one of the things that make this kit good also gives a little headache. The Dragon Fangs, not the Dragon Fangs itself but the peg that attaches to the arm. It can easily fall off, every time you move it specially moving it up-down. That peg can barely hold it properly, if Bandai only use the same type of attachment used on the shield it can be a lot better. Don't get me wrong, the dragon fangs can pose properly (patience is a virtue) but moving them can be a b!tch.

the amazing peg >_<

Final Thoughts

Well the kit for me was not that good but not that bad either. It can still be a good addition to your collection and its overall appearance is pretty cool too

Is it good value for money?...yes. Though it has some problems, everything else can put this kit to your liking, like the super cool Shenlong Shield.

Does it capture the power of the anime?...Definitely Yes, the new design for the Dragon fangs work so well on this kit and it is much better than the anime version. It is still a good kit even if it has some problems. Some of its strong points really captures the anime well, like the shield and dragon fangs.

The kit was panel lined and top coated except for the very 1st photo at the top (OBB - Out of the Box Build) and no other paints are applied.
